- Known from her daughter Fanny's birth certificate.
In 1861 Sarah was unmarried and living at home in Scotherne with her parents. On 13 May 1861 she gave birth to an illegitimate son who she named John. On 17 October 1861 Sarah married John Pattison at Scotherne parish church. I assume that John Pattison was the father of her illegitimate son as they married so soon after his birth.
