  Known from a letter written by Pearson Wright jnr. She spent 23 years as a Methodist missionary teacher on the Chinese Indian borders. On her way home to Toronto she got stranded in the UK & she met Pearson. They got married about 1941 and she, Pearson & the boys moved to Tiddington in Oxfordshire. Laura became pregnant at age 47 and gave birth to Annabelle. From Malcolm Reed in September 2011. Laura Ridell was born in Hamiota, Manitoba, on December 29th. 1901. She taught at the Chungking Canadian School from 1934 to 1934, including teaching art. This information comes from the United Church Archives in Toronto.
