• Notes

  Marion came from a naval family on the Isle of Wight. Her father and brother were R.N. officers and her first husband was a Commander. They were all killed at sea during World War 1. Evelyn or Eveline Rose Marion Hill) married Pearson in 1922. Her first husband (Henry Ernest Fewtrell) was killed in 1917 in the Great war. Like us, the present Henry Robert knew none of this. She died of an asthmatic attack.
