Charles's father was Edwin James Wright, a cycle maker (deceased) and Lillian's father was Bertwell Peters, a restaurant proprietor. Witnesses to the marriage were J. W. Conway and Ethel Crowder.

Kelleys Directory for Southend 1914 shows that Samuel John Peters was a ships chandler at 5 & 6 Southchurch Beach, Southend.
Kelleys Directory for 1920 shows that Samuel John Peters was a ships chandler at 65 & 66 Eastern Esplanade, Southend.
After her husband's death in 1926, Lillian remarried to a Mr Lovell. They moved to 38 Ashgrove rd, Goodmayes, Ilford, Essex, where Lillian had a boarding house. They had a daughter Josephine.
Lillians parents had a pub in Southend called the Criterian in the 1920/30s.
