    • Anne Franklin & Henry Layzell were married at Gt Wakering parish church on Christmas Day 1878. Anne was aged 18 and Henry was aged 20 - they were bachelor and spinster. Anne's father was John Franklin, a blacksmith and Henry's father was John Layzell, a labourer. Witnesses to the marriage were Walter Hayward and Eliza Hayward. Anne signed her name and Henry signed with a cross.
