This would also tie in with the witnesses to the marriage of Perrin Burles.

Joseph was buried in Woodham Ferrers on December 16 1886 aged 78 years.

725 Judith and her husband Thomas had at least two children together. Judith then went on to have a number of illegitimate children by an unknown man. In 1784 the parish register states that her husband was living abroad when son William was baptised.

The baptism of Milly in 1790 states that she is the base child of Judith Griggs and John Timor. We do not know if John Timor was the father of any of the other illegitimate children.

Judith Griggs died aged 91 on 31 October 1843 of natural decay. The certificate states that she was a widow, husband's name unknown. Sarah Bowen, who was in attendance, registered the death.
