  Known from the marriage certificate of his daughter Isabella. William was a sailor. He was baptised in Hockley on 8 July 1793. In 1841 - Rettendon, Essex HO107/326/3 folio7 p9 William Murrell aged 40 (49) a mariner. Harriet his wife aged 30 (40) William his son aged 13 Harriet his daughter aged 10 Charles his son aged 9 Samuel his son aged 7 Isabella his daughter aged 6 Robert his son aged 3 Henry his son aged 1 All were born in Essex. We have a death certificate for William Charles Murrell, a mariner. Cause of death is unreadable. Charlotte Taylor was in attendance at the death. He was buried in Maldon St Marys on 16 May 1853 aged 61. We have found the grave of William Charles Murrell who died 5 May 1853 and Harriett Murell who died November 26 1867 in St Mary's churchyard in Maldon. They are buried together and it states that Harriett was the wife of William Charles.
