Notes |
- Charles was a bachelor aged 29 and Mary Ann (Marion) a spinster aged 28. We know that Charles was previously married in 1878 so his stating that he was a bachelor is a lie. Both parties were living at 7 Reedworth Street, Lambeth at the time of the marriage. Charles's father was George Broughton, a grocer and Marion's father was James Wright (deceased) a master mariner. Witnesses were George Wilson and Elizabeth Lea.

Address 5 GROVE TERRACE Leeds, County Yorkshire West Riding
This was probably a boarding house as there were a number of theatrical people staying there.
Natalie & her husband lived at 6 Retreat Road, Southend from at least 1916 to 1926. Natalie is shown as head of household from 1927 to 1930 and after that number 6 disappears from Retreat Road in Kelley's Directory.
From an email received in April 2005. The information was from the daughter of Hayden Broughton, Natalie's niece. "Natalie was divorced from Percy but did not marry again. Natalie was living with Tony (her son Antony) in Park Hill Richmond when she died. I cannot remember when Percy died but it was sometime before Natalie. I think Natalie died in the Richmond hospital.
After Natalie died Tony moved just down the street at Richmond to Chisholm Road. He was not married when his mother was living with him. He married Shealah later. Incidentally Tony and Shealah had no children."
Natalie died on 6 March 1973 in Tolworth Hospital of stomach cancer and broncho pneumonia. Her son Antony Desmond Briggs registered the death.
