Alfred was a hairdresser and bachelor aged 22 and Lettice was a spinster aged 21. Alfred was the son of James Alderton, a stonemason, and was residing at 15 High Street at the time of the marriage. Lettice's father was James Willingale, a boot maker and she lived at 25 High Street.
Witnesses to the marriage were James Willingale and Ann Lettice Willingale.
