Notes |
- Samuel, son of Robert & Lucy Horlock was baptised in Rettendon on 17 April 1799.
The family appears to have moved to Steeple circa 1830 because there are no entries in the parish registers prior to this date.
Samuel owned two sailing barges, the "Hand of Providence" and the "Wellington" both registered at Maldon. On his death in 1837 these passed to his two brothers Robert & Richard.
