    • Both were resident in St Giles Colchester at the time of their marriage. They were bachelor and spinster, Henry aged 22 and Ellen aged 20.

Henry was a fitter and turner.

Henry's father was James Wright a captain in the merchant service (doesn't say deceased although we know that James died before 1875) and Ellen's father, George Coronation Morten, was a gardener.

Witnesses to the marriage were Alfred Morten, I Hayes, Alice Wright and Clara Morten

  • Notes
    • Known from a letter written by Pearson Wright jnr. George was badly shell shocked from being blown up on the Western Front during WW1. This left him deaf which was a shame as he was a talented flautist. He was keen on conservation. He never married.
