  • Notes
    • Known from the birth certificate of her son James.

Catherine Chittock, the illegitimate daughter of Joseph Rippengale and Sarah Chittock was baptised on 25 September 1823 in Foulness, Essex.

In 1851 she was living with Mary Burles in Great Wakering 107/1777/514
Catherine was aged 28 unmarried and worked as a seamstress.
She had a son Stephen Chittock aged 1 who was born in Great Wakering. This is Stephen Burles son.
