- Dorothy was born 21 January 1912 in Liverpool.
She was confirmed on 25 February 1935 at St George's Cathedral, Cape Town.
Following the death of her husband in Essex in March 1994, her son Ken found her a place in a nursing home near where he lived in Yeovil. This was at Forest View, 100-104 West Coker Road. She was found to have cancer of the colon and she died 22 September 1994 in Yeovil District Hospital, Somerset.
Dorothy was cremated and her ashes were scattered in Willingale, Essex on New Years Day 2000.
